Linkedin profileOn October 26th, Lotus Bakeries, Etex and Terumo will share their low-code journeys at our first Apvine event. While they each have their own unique story to tell, what unites them is their use of Mendix to accelerate the digitisation on their shop floors in one form or another.
Low-code is perfect for speeding-up the digitisation process on an industrial scale, offering fast, flexible solutions through an agile process. Platforms like Mendix low-code enable manufacturing companies to digitalise paper-based flows, maximise digital data input, increase insights and so much more.
The era of classic Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is over. Rather than implementing large monolithic pieces of software, low-code represents a microservice approach. Small(er) modules that can be connected quickly and easily. Speedboats instead of one big oil tanker. Think of a production order cockpit, an application to manage production or machine downtimes, a scrap waste module, an application on top of your ERP system to manage quality checks or a mobile solution to execute maintenance work orders to name a few of the endless possibilities.
